There are many dining choices near our La Mariposa Mexico
villa rental. La Cocina del Sol or The Inn at Manzanillo
Bay both offer wonderful menus and are just a stroll
down the beach. The Cafe Sol and Burro Borracho are
other favorites of Troncones locals.
Surfing:
Surfing is a great option during a vacation to Mexico,
and the Troncones area is a world-class surfing destination.
The Point right out the door is a favorite of the more
advanced surfers. You can rent boards nearby and you’ll
be guided to the location that best suits your abilities.

amazing place to go surfing.
Swimming/Snorkeling/Boogie Boarding:
The La Mariposa rental villa is only a few steps away
from the warm waters of the Pacific Ocean. Swimming,
boogie boarding, and snorkeling are all relaxing, entertaining
activities to pass a beautiful, sunny day. There’s
no better vacation spot than the beach, snorkeling in
the warm, clear water.
Horseback Riding:
Ride along the beach or through the foothills.
Massage:
There are many soothing masseuses in the Troncones area.
Enjoy a relaxing massage in the privacy of the villa
or Palapa at La Mariposa.
Yoga:
Start the morning at one of the numerous peaceful yoga
establishments in Troncones. Present Moment and Yoga
del Pacifico feature classes in meditation and the healing
arts.
Eco-Tours:
Experience a half or full day of biking or kayaking
and see the best of what this breathtaking beach vacation
spot has to offer in flora and fauna.
Fishing:
The fishermen in the nearby village of Majahua (the
next village to the north, down the road) are available
to take small groups out on their fishing boats, called
Pangas. Bring home a dinner of red snapper or Dorado.
There are a multitude of larger boats with experienced
skippers out of Zihuatanejo if you want to catch the
big fish.
Golf:
There are two challenging courses in Ixtapa, only 1/2
hour away. Campo de Golf and The Marina Course are both
excellent.
